MyFreeCams is a true veteran in the cam site world. Site really brings up the old school feel whilst continuing to attract new models and users. One of the main site’s features is that it hosts exclusively girls’ rooms.
Site’s interface gives users a lot of options straight from the beginning, when you visit the website for the first time, basically you can access everything you want from the homepage, starting from simple navigation and ending in detailed personalized settings. Not only that, but you can also customize homepage any way you want to make it more to your liking, though this might be a bit overwhelming for the newcomers, since site’s layout looks drastically different in comparison to the majority of other cam sites that most people are used to.
If you want more familiar feel to the site, you can just click on the camera icon at the top bar, right to the models counter – it would change previews from the small avatars to the more familiar gif previews of the room where you can see what’s happening in it at the moment. Additionally, you have the unique option to choose number of frames per second that you will see for the rooms’ previews so people with a different internet speed could adjust that parameter for themselves.
Rooms on the site are not overcrowded with users, so models really notice you and you don’t need to constantly fight with other users for a drop of girl’s attention. You can even find really cute girls that chill in the rooms with small number of viewers so you can chat with that girls like it’s a private chat.
Though if you don’t want to chat with girls exclusively, you might notice that site doesn’t have men or trans category. Site also doesn’t host couples, no matter straight or gay/lesbian ones, though some girls can attempt to host this kind of shows, you need really try to find them.
Site has keywords search and tag search, but they are not so convenient if you want to filter models by their appearance, languages or kinks. Most of the tags are very generalized, like “amazing smile” or “sexy ass” or simply “hot” and “sexy”. This tag system can be very frustrating, since it doesn’t specify much and finding something particular can be a challenging task, especially if you used to a more robust filters that other sites offer.
Another drawback is that almost every link you click opens in a new window instead of a new tab, which can be quite baffling, since it’s quite exhausting to move new windows all the time as well as adjust them and significantly slowing users’ browsing process on the site.
A small but noteworthy feature is the "Just Logged In" indicator, that highlights models who have recently come online, so you could see the show from the start or be the first to interact with a girl that day. Additionally, there is also the “Hide Model” feature, that is relatively unique. Girls’ profiles can wary from nice and clean to overcluttered and quite messy, since there is no general design/template and a lot of models make design for their profiles themselves. So you could stumble on a lot of profiles with unreadable text and exaggeratingly bright backgrounds.
MyFreeCams does a great job at promoting its models. Alongside the “Just Logged In” and “New” features, the site has a header that showcases rotation of different models that you can find on the site. This header includes the girl's photo and nickname, providing her with a spotlight. This not only benefits the models by increasing their exposure, providing them with a boost in popularity but also aids users in discovering new girls that they might miss the other way.
MyFreeCams really excels at bringing back the cozy old school aesthetic, where everything feels more intimate and down to earth, while giving you the unique opportunity to customize layout to you own liking. It may take some time to get used to, but once you do, site really becomes a great place for not just some spicy fun, but also personal connection between guys and girls from all over the world.
